the public and its problem

I talk regularly with fellow artists about our ambition to show, and often share similar questions : Why do we want to show? where do we want to show? And what do we want to achieve by it?
Because of the loss of a capitalistic ideal, to follow a path in which fame and financial gain would be the end goal, feels immoral. I do not yet have an answer to these questions, and feel they are urgent to adres.
